Flushing, Queens is the longest running site (22 years) for ESTA's History Alive! intergenerational theater program, led by Master Teaching Artist Marsha Gildin. 5th graders from P.S. 24 and elders from Self-help Benjamin Rosenthal Senior Center will engage in rich dialogue over the course of this 12-week program, this year on the subject of "COMMUNITY - What does it mean to you?" Participants will develop storytelling and performance techniques, make new friends, and share their stories in a final event at the senior center.
