Susan Perlstein, MSW, is Creative Aging Consultant, is an artist, educator, social worker and activist whose entire career has been dedicated to fostering community arts, Susan received her BA from Barnard College, MA from Columbia University, and MSW from Hunter College School of Social Work. She has written extensively on creativity and aging and is currently developing local and national trainings in partnership with the American Society on Aging. She has served as a consultant to the New York City Department for the Aging and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and has presented to a wide range of groups including the American Society on Aging, the Alliance for Cultural Democracy, Arts Partners, Generations United of America, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
