Betsey Nathan was a social worker practicing in the areas of family and childrens’ services, adoption placements, and maternal and adolescent reproductive services, when, more than 20 years after graduating from the School of Social Work at Howard University, she decided to fulfill an earlier career interest by entering Brooklyn Law School, from which she graduated in 1986.  Since then, relying heavily on the experiences gained as a social worker, she has focused primarily on matrimonial and family law matters as well as acting in the capacity of a court-appointed guardian for people determined by the court to be incapacitated.  Betsey looks forward to participating on the ESTA board, whose intergenerational, community and communication - based programs and purposes present a new and exciting opportunity.
