New York is definitely a city to see at least once in a lifetime! It probably wouldn't take a month to discover it all, but a week is more than enough time to fall in love with it. There are so many things to see and do, and they are also so far apart, so if you only have 7 days, it becomes necessary to organise a detailed itinerary, which allows you to group the attractions closest to each other and avoid wasting precious time travelling!
Are you ready to go? Here are tips and info for visiting New York in 7 days!

New York, like the big American cities, is not a cheap destination. Although there are now numerous low-cost flights, one of the highest expenses will be accommodation, especially if you want to stay in Midtown, near Manhattan! If you book in good time you can still find great deals!
Despite the high cost of living, it's not impossible to save money: go for a quick lunch of bagels, hot dogs or street food, and for dinner you can stop off at a few bars; as you've seen, entrance fees to attractions are very expensive, so buy the NYC Explorer Pass to save money and also get the 7-day MetroCard Unlimited for unlimited underground travel ($33.00/€27.50).
Finally, if you want to get your bearings a little before exploring the city freely, consider a sightseeing bus tour, ideal for getting to the main attractions and getting familiar with the distances!
